Classic Arcade Games We Wish We Were Playing Right Now

If you’re looking for your daily fix of nostalgia, think back to the arcades of your childhood as we revisit the classic arcade games we wish we were playing right now.

Hoops. Oh that’s right, the arcade could often be the domain of the athletic! We all remember playing round after round of hoops, trying to sink an often deflated basketball into a moving target that frequently featured a fairly frayed net. The flashing light, buzzing sounds around us, and countdown clock were often anxiety inducing, but we loved every second of it anyway!

Skee-Ball. Did anyone ever understand how Skee-Ball came to be? Like a bizarre combination of bowling and darts, Skee-Ball is where many of us honed our skills, and the accuracy would often lead to big pay days when it was time to claim our prize tickets.

Air Hockey. Intensity, thy name is Air Hockey! The faced paced competition the game brought on was matched only be the laser like focus it took to play it, and who hasn’t had the occasional encounter with a flying puck?

Crane Games. The ultimate devourer of quarters, crane games have been a source of frustration for many throughout the years, but their popularity never seemed to wane, making them a staple of not just arcade but of malls and department stores everywhere. Few could come up with a solid strategy to claim their prize, but those that did manage the feat were often rewarded with fame and fluffy stuffed animals.
